BUSH SAYS HE EXPECTS TO WIN RE-ELECTION

kpvi.com;"Candid comments on Iraq and John Kerry from President Bush in two interviews. Bush told The New York Times that he made a "miscalculation of what the conditions would be" after U-S troops went to Iraq. In the same interview, he also said he doesn't think that John Kerry lied about his Vietnam War record. The group Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has aired advertisements claiming Kerry lied about circumstances surrounding his war medals. Bush told U-S-A Today that he stands by Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld despite two reports criticizing the Pentagon in the prisoner abuse scandal. He says the most disappointing thing about his term in office has been his inability to change what he calls the "harsh environment" in Washington. But he says the presidential campaign "really doesn't seem that ugly." Bush also said he expects to win."
Expects to Win? Hello Mr. Bush..have you even been reading the papers? people are not very happy with you. And you think you are a slam-dunk!

Hey Debbie!

I've been reading the papers and the blogosphere very closely. I don't know who you're people are, but the people I know are quite satisfied Bush has done the right thing.

Abu Ghraib is an aberration. Last time I checked, there are quite a few of them...everywhere (hint: check your township's local court docket). Contrary to the lip service W gives about Kerry's wartime experience, I can say to you that John DID lie, and 'big-time'...he has TWICE retracted already. You really want someone like Kerry with his finger on the nuclear football? Please...give me a break!

War isn't something you plan to the last detail beforehand! Last time I checked, human beings are as deceptive and devious as it gets. We're not playing 'lay out your garden before you plant'. Get real. Conditions develop. Take football (the U.S. or world version, doesn't matter): you have a game plan going in, meet the competition, and adjust. GET REAL. So what about the "harsh environment" in Washington? If people are peeved at you, and don't wish to compromise, what are you supposed to do (follow your heart, that's what).

To end as I began, there are plenty of people who are extremely happy with W. We are not so monolithic as to use your words 'slam-dunk', but we remain optimistic never-the-less. I feel really sorry for someone who is so ABB. Will you need therapy if you lose?

Peace be with you (it'll be alright).

HunterByrd, first thank-you for leaving a comment. In regard to will I need therpy if Kerry don't get in?.. No..I don't think so, I will be just fine, thanks for caring tho. As for You saying that Bush went with his heart, maybe so but it don't make it right I myself have been known to go with my gut feeling and its not always right but as life goes I have to live with what I reap. As I feel Bush should. As for kerry I don"t know at this time if he's the one for me, but I do know I am not for Bush. I have had the worse four years of my life as a single mother under his 4-term and really need a break. So I am looking at the fact that Mr. Bush has given me 4-years of his time to show me what he could do and not much of it has done anything for me or my family. Maybe your right and I am wrong about Kerry I don't know, Time will tell both of us. For all we know maybe Ralf Nather will sneak in and take it with a land-slid.
